Our Lady of Consolation Nursing and Rehabilitative Care Center To Offer Weekly Bereavement Groups

West Islip, NY 11795 – Beginning the last week of September, the Pastoral Care and Social Work departments at Our Lady of Consolation Nursing and Rehabilitative Care Center will be offering two bereavement programs which are open to all residents, staff, families, friends and community members who have lost a loved one.

These programs, offered at no cost to attendees, are designed to help participants express their grief and share with others who may be experiencing the same feelings. The first group begins on Monday, September 29 from 1:30pm to 3pm and will continue on October 6, 13, 20, 27, November 3, 10 and 17. The second group begins on Tuesday, September 30 from 6:30pm to 8pm and will continue on October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 4, 11, and 18.  To reserve a place in either of these newly formed groups, please call Peggy Nixdorf, R.N., in the Pastoral Care department at (631) 587-1600, ext. 8297.  

Our Lady of Consolation is a 450-bed nursing and rehabilitative care center conducted in the tradition of the Sisters of St. Dominic since 1894 and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
