Our Lady of Consolation, a non-profit, mission-based organization, as a member of CHS is continuing the work of the religious women who founded hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other Long Island agencies reaching back more than a century. In addition to the primary health and human services provided by CHS entities across the region, blood drives, free wellness seminars, support groups, and other community health-related events and programs are offered year-round.

Our Lady of Consolation Foundation

Distinguished members of our community serve as stewards of Our Lady of Consolation as part of the Our Lady of Consolation Foundation.  Working in concert with administration and the Board of Trustees, our Foundation members offer valuable insight to community needs, as well as support of our fundraising initiatives.  Our Foundation is of great assistance in building an "esprit de corps" and bridge between our local communities and our nursing home.

Our Lady of Consolation is an important neighbor in our West Islip community.   In order to offer our patients and residents a true linkage with their home town, our facility is open to many local community groups for their meetings and special events.  We are happy to host the West Islip Chamber of Commerce, the West Islip Orchestra, the West Islip American Legion Post, and many other community groups, when the need arises.
